Launch for New GB Chain, Sprocket, Coupling & Pulley Brand
Posted on 26 Nov, 2009 by gbtrans
Since its formation in September 2004 GB Power Transmission has been associated with the TV brand of competitively priced, quality chain, sprocket, coupling and pulley products sourced from a chain manufacturer in China. The supplier manufactured a small range of chain up to 1 inch pitch and other products were sourced though them from factories nominated by GB Power. These factories had been qualified for there quality products through regular factory visits by GB Power over its 5 year history. It was critical for GB Power to deliver not only competitive pricing to our growing customer base but a quality consistent with each customer's requirements and standards in Australia.
Although GB Power was involved in the creation of the previous brand it did not own it therefore could only apply the brand to product sourced though other factories. Over the 5 years certain targets for improvements in quality were set between GB Power as the importer and the factory producing the goods. The main focus was the continued improvement in quality and expansion of the range of manufactured products. Remaining competitive was also paramount for the future success of products established with existing customers by GB Power. In November 2008 we received our last shipment of TV branded products as we could not reach agreements with them to meet the targets set for quality and competitive pricing over the next term. Since then we have worked hard with several key manufactures in the Chain, Sprocket, Coupling and Pulley products to create a new brand of products we will call our own. Products now carrying the GB brand below are sourced direct from factories producing a high level of quality and highly competitive pricing. They have all been visited by GB Power and will continue to be on an ongoing basis to ensure their level of quality continues to grow over time. All have quality systems in place and all conform to the standards required by international markets.
